Here are a few of my favorite shot from covering the game.

Hi, I'm Mike Roemer, a commercial, corporate, industrial, agriculture and editorial photographer based in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
I've lived the photography business since childhood, first tagging along during my father's long newspaper photography career before ever carrying my own camera gear. My interest grew as I watched the fascinating process of my dad making black and white images appear while shaking trays of chemicals under the red lights of a developing room.
My professional career started with a ten-year stint as a newspaper photographer meeting tight deadlines, adapting to curve balls and making the famous and not-so-famous comfortable in front of my lens.
I returned to Green Bay in the mid-1990s to start my own business, and now regularly travel around the U.S. and internationally for my clients. I enjoy the creative challenge of combining unusual angles, lighting and lens options to produce the perfect commercial image.
I've won first place awards in Pictures of the Year International, National Press Photographers Best of Photojournalism and National Headliners, along with being a three-time winner in the Pro Football Hall of Fame photo contest.
I love the variety of projects I get to work on, from healthcare organization and foundation annual reports, high-energy casino and gaming shoots, industrial projects at locations as diverse as cheese manufacturers and steel plants, to corporate culture assignments and documenting the Green Bay Packers.

The good news is the team of photographers I was working with to cover the Green Bay Packers vs the Minnesota Viking NFL football game at Lambeau Field on Sunday Dec. 3, 2012 did a very nice job, but I’m not sure I held up my end. In my own defense not all that much happened in the end zone I was assigned to cover. I was positioned in the north end zone and the only touchdown that came to the north was a boring touchdown for photos, not even a Lambeau Leap celebration. For the first three minutes of the game my responsibility was to get some nice tight shots of Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers throwing the ball. I was able to get those photos and for the rest of the game it seemed like ever nice shot I got was of Aaron.
One of the big story lines of the game was the running yard gained by Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson. I was able to get some stuff of Peterson, but most of what i saw of him was long runs from the back heading south. The other big story line of the games was the two intereceptions of Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder passes by Green Bay Packers free safety Morgan Burnett. I was able to get a decent shot of Burnett after one of the interceptions, but he didn’t do much in the way of a celebration.
The photo of mine from Sunday that will probably get the most attention is the shot of the two Packers bulldogs Packer and Vince decked out in Green Bay jerseys and dog sized cheeseheads. I’ve shot photos of Packer before, but this is the first time he has had his understudy Vince with.
Next Sunday the Packers play another home games against the Detroit Lions and hopefully I can redeem myself.

Here are some of my favorite photos from the Green Bay Packers vs Arizona Cardinal NFL football game at Lambeau Field on Sunday Nov. 4th, 2012 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. With their 31-17 win over the Cardinal the Packers head into their bye week with a 6-3 record. As a sports photographer your always trying to tell the story of the game. When I looked through my edit from the game it looks like the story was Green Bay packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers having another great game. A highlight of the game was a 72 yard touchdown pass to tight end Tom Crabtree. I was very happy with the way that play came together. I was in the right spot to get the throw, catch, the run and the celebration in the end zone. If only Crabtree hadn’t gone face first into the stands for his Lambeau Leap it would have been perfect. I’d much rather see the face of a happy football player then the backside of a pair of yellow football pants. I also think I found a nice moment to finish off the story when Rodgers shared a laugh with receiver coach Edgar Bennett as they walked off the field.

I didn’t think I had all that great of a week shooting at this past weekend’s Green Bay Packers vs Jacksonville Jaguars NFL football game. I had one shot of Donald Driver connecting with a fan after doing a Lambeau Leap that I really liked and a few others that I though were okay. Well, today I decided to take a break from editing and check out what the NFL has for the top 10 photos for week 8 of the NFL season. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw I had two of the top 10. One was the shot of Driver and the other is of Packers running back Alex Green leaping over a lineman as he gets hit by Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Paul Posluszny. Here is link to the top ten.
