Here are some of my favorite photos from covering the Green Bay Packers vs Chicago Bears NFL football game at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Sunday as a Wisconsin sports photographer. After not so doing well in their season opener last week against the Vikings, the Packers took care of business against the Bears and won 27-10.
This was my first regular season football game after suffering a serious injury last fall that left me watching the second half of last year’s season while recovering from a broken back and pelvis.
Things have also changed for the team I’m on for game coverage. For a ton of years, I always shot from the north end zone at Lambeau and we had runners pick up our media cards after big plays and take them to our editor. This year we made the switch and we are plugging our cameras into an ethernet line on field level that is allowing us to send our image to a remote editor. To be honest I’m not a big fan of doing it this way and it gets me out of the flow of the game. I also shot this game from the visitor’s sideline which didn’t work out that great for me. I’m going to move back to my end zone position next game and see how that works. Here are a few photos that I’m happy with from Sunday night.
Thanks for looking!
Mike
