I love photography projects in which I can tell a story. I recently did a day in the life of agriculture photography photo shoot based around robotic milking equipment. My contract with the client doesn’t allow me to show the photos, but I loved one of the photos so much that I reached out to the client to see if I could use it for my portfolio and social media. The photo doesn’t show any of the equipment so the client agreed. The shoot wasn’t just about the milking robots, but also about life on this family dairy farm. Early on in the day I heard rumors of the grandpa of the three generations being an airplane enthusiast and having a hangar on the property with a couple very cool planes in them. At that point I wasn’t sure how the planes were going to fit in to this story. When we broke for lunch and grandpa opened up the doors of one of the building revealing his planes, I knew I need to work them in somehow. When an old bench seat out of a pickup truck got pulled up to the front of the hangar as a place for the middle aged boys and their dad to sit during lunch, I knew I had my shot.
Thanks for looking!
