My wife Judy and I recently returned from a two week trek through Germany and just a tad in to Austria. The trip was split between time visiting family on my mom’s side that lives near Frankfurt and working on a project for Schreiber Foods at three of their plants near the Germany / Austria border near the Bodensee. When I wasn’t working on the project for Schreiber I enjoyed taking pictures just to fill my creative needs. These are some of my favorite photos from our visits to places like Lindau, the Bodensee, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, the Rhein River Valley, Frankfurt, Freiburg and the Black Forrest.
I didn’t load myself down with gear like I might for an editorial or commercial shoot. I usually carried one camera body with a 24-105 or two tilt shift lenses (a 24mm and a 90mm). The lilt shift lenses let me work with selective focus which I think works to make Europe look even more magical.
Thanks for taking a look!
